关于 UGHE – University of Global Health Equity
The University of Global Health Equity is a university based in Rwanda, aiming to change the way that healthcare is delivered around the world by creating leaders who are equipped in sustaining effective and equitable health systems.
The university launched in 2015 as a not-for-profit institution and has affiliations with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Harvard Medical School and the Cummings Foundation.
The university offers three main education pathways, including two bachelor degrees in medicine and surgery. There is one master's degree on offer, the MSc in global health delivery. The third pathway is a range of customised certificate courses to develop professionals working in healthcare delivery systems. Known as executive education courses, these will equip learners to return to their workplaces and deliver value-based programmes.
The Butaro Academic Campus is located in the Burera District and provides non-clinical programmes, as well as undergraduate and graduate programmes in medicine, nursing and oral health. Located 80 miles north of Rwanda’s capital city of Kigali, facilities across the campus include a case study room, a clinical stimulation centre, and a science laboratory.
Located nearby is the Butaro District Hospital and Cancer Centre of Excellence, where students are able to undertake clinical placements and work experience.
