关于 Konan University
Konan University is a private university located on the slopes of Mount Rokkō in Higashinada-ku, Kobe, Japan. The university, which was formally founded in 1951, traces its early origins to as early as 1919.
Currently, the university is spread across three major campuses: Okamoto Campus (the main campus), Nishinomiya Campus (Hirao School of Management), and the Island Campus (science, medicine and engineering research).
Konan University, popular for its language immersion programmes, offers a wide range of academic programmes ranging from medicine to accounting. The university offers courses from undergraduate to postgraduate level. There are also several research centres and learning utility centres that encourage students to get involved in inter-disciplinary academic endeavours.
The university has also forged partnerships with universities across the world to facilitate student and faculty exchange. Currently, the university has more than 20 academic partners across the world. Some of them include the University of Arizona, the University of Leeds, Xiamen University and Tung Hai University.
Popular for its Summer Intensive Japanese programme, the university also organises several events each year such as the language partner programme, Japanese calligraphy courses, Tamodachi program and Japanese Tea Ceremony events.
Apart from these, the student community also regularly organises several events through different types of student groups. The student counselling centre and career guidance centre provides psychological as well professional support to students in their lives and careers.
Additionally, in order to help all those who have the desire to learn and to support life-long education, the university has now even commenced mid-career admissions and non-degree programs.
