Hotel Institute Montreux (HIM)

Hotel Institute Montreux (HIM) was founded in 1984. It is one of four hospitality schools that operate under the Swiss Education group.

The school is based in Montreux, a town situated along the shore of Lake Geneva, Switzerland.

There is only one programme available for students to study, the bachelor of business administration. This three-year course gives students the opportunity to develop their understanding of hospitality business management and gain industry experience through two internships. By the end of the three years, students will graduate with a bachelor of business administration in hospitality management from Hotel Institute Montreux and a bachelor of business administration in hospitality management from Northwood University in the US.

Outside the classroom students are encouraged to participate in the school’s extracurricular activities. For those who enjoy sports, there are a number of clubs on offer including football, basketball, cheerleading, volleyball and badminton, all of which have weekly training and external competitions.

The school’s study abroad programme invites international students majoring in hospitality management or business to attend the university for a semester. Due to the school’s flexible curriculum, students are given the freedom to customise their studies to suit their interests. The bachelor of business administration is accredited by Northwood University in the US.
