For international students, the university provides beginner, intermediate and advanced Korean language classes for four hours each day to enable them to understand their teaching materials more confidently. These classes also cover Korean history, culture and lifestyle. The Korean Culture Experience Programme aims to help international students study in Korea and understand its culture. Field trips occur every spring and autumn where students explore key Korean landmarks that have shaped its history.
International students are encouraged to develop their language skills further by undertaking a part time job while at the university. Chosun University encourages students to explore occupations that link to their study major and have opportunities for translation.
First-year students are encouraged to apply to live in university accommodation where they can make friends and find their way around the campus. Undergraduate students past their first year must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher to qualify for university accommodation.
