关于 California State University, East Bay
Founded in 1957 as the State College for Alameda County, this institution has had several names but since 2005 it has been known as California State University-East Bay (CSUEB) and its main campus is located in Hayward, California.
Today more than 15,500 students study at CSUEB and the university offers 50 baccalaureate degrees and 61 minors through four major academic colleges – the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences, the College of Business and Economics, the College of Education and Allied Studies, and the College of Science.
Comprised of three campuses, the main Hayward campus is in the San Francisco Bay Area and this prime location presents students with a fantastic opportunity to take advantage of the diverse range of activities and goings-on in the local area.
The other campuses are in Concord in Contra Costa County, and in the city of Oakland, as well as online degree programs which are available in a selected number of undergraduate and graduate courses. The university is proud to have the most culturally diverse student population in the California State University system.
CSUEB was among the first California State Universities to adopt an online teaching program and around 20 percent of instruction is delivered either through online or hybrid courses. More than half of the undergraduate population study at least one online or hybrid course and the university has received awards from the likes of bestschools.com and affordablecollegesonline.org for the online programs offered.
More than 100,000 students have graduated from CSUEB, including Major League Baseball umpire Ted Barrett, graphic novel writer Gene Luen Yang, California State Senator Ellen Corbett, and poet George Barlow.
