The programmes will be offered in partnership with QA Ltd, a firm that provides training courses at 25 locations across the UK and Ireland.

From this September, Northumbria will offer business-related MSc programmes, a one-year bachelor’s top-up programme in business and administration, as well as a foundation course for international students to progress onto Northumbria degree programmes.

The campus will be based at the same address as one of QA’s training centres on the edge of the City of London.

According to Northumbria’s brochure for the campus, the university is “working in partnership” with the company to “deliver the new campus”.

“QA will work alongside Northumbria staff to deliver an outstanding learning experience,” it says.

“In addition, all Northumbria London students will receive £2,000 worth of specialist course vouchers. These can be used to undertake QA’s certified courses in a host of subjects including delivering presentations to effective business communications,” it continues.

A statement from Northumbria says the London campus “supports the University’s aim to grow significantly its international community in the UK”.

“Northumbria will recruit students nationally as well as internationally,” it says.

It adds that QA has a “strong track record in international student recruitment and is one of the UK’s leading innovators in education and training”.

Andrew Wathey, Northumbria’s vice-chancellor, said that the new campus would “appeal to our growing international community and to home-based students, whose educational experience will be bolstered by the rich and diverse industry links that the capital offers.”
