Once again the news media uses the body form to define women in the public domain ("We'll set colleges free, say the Tories", THES, October 6).

By all means report on Theresa May's contribution to her party's policy on higher education, but it is unacceptable to do so by illustrating the story by referring to her legs or any other part of her body.
