Letter: Quality refrain creates discord 4

一月 18, 2002

Peter Williams says the debate on quality assurance consists of "mediocre cliches" and "low-quality non-thought". His article continues this ignoble tradition. We read about paymasters and pipers (twice), before being led through a meandering and inapt analogy about universities and concert halls, which, as the writer admits, "breaks down".

I learnt nothing new about quality assurance, but I was certain that, for a suitable fee, I could offer Williams some tutorials to assure the quality of his writing.
