Cihan University – Erbil

Cihan University – Erbil is a private English-medium institution founded in 2007 by the multisector Cihan Group.

Accredited by Kurdistan’s Ministry of Higher Education and Science it was fully accredited as a university by the Iraq ministry in 2017. It is considered once of the only multi campus universities in Iraq.

It offers degrees in law, business administration, accounting and information technology, commerce and engineering, computer science, international relations, architecture and engineering, biology, English and graphic design.

The university has 14 international partners, many of which are Middle Eastern, but also include institutions in Leipzig, Freiburg, Moscow and two in Warsaw.

The language centre founded in 2011 now offers instruction in Kurdish, Turkish, Arabic and Persian as well as intensive courses in English.
