Providing resolution to the global talent drought and the crying need for competent future entrepreneurs, the university alleviates vocational studies opportunities and critical courses relevant to both domestic and global industries through its multifaceted diploma and certification programmes offered by MSU Group of Colleges. In 2023, the vocational studies empowerment by the university was honoured with the ‘Malaysia’s Best University  in Technical and Vocational and Training (TVET) Education’ award at the Malaysia Education & TVET 2023 (META 2023) ceremony.

Some of the university’s high impact and award-winning projects by MSU ‘s academia and scholars include MyCoral Eco Marine Project aimed at boosting coral propagation along the coast of Peninsular Malaysia, and the ‘MSU Eye Assessment Chart and Ruler for Children with Special Needs’ by MSU Eye Care Centre (iCARE) continuously undergo extensive research and development (RnD) processes to go for potential research commercialisation.
