Hue University

Hue University is located in the Vietnamese city of Hue and was established in 1957 to provide higher education to the Thua Thien province, Central Highlands and the whole country.

In 1957 the university began with four departments of science, pedagogy, literature and law, and has now grown to include medicine and pharmacy, agriculture and forestry, arts, economics, foreign languages, biotechnology, tourism and hospitality, engineering and technology, and physical education.

Across its range of departments, the university offers bachelor’s, master’s, international master’s, and doctoral degrees, as well as joint training programmes and programmes in foreign languages.

At Hue University, both education and entrepreneurship are fostered through start-up opportunities and innovation sessions. There are incubation projects throughout the year to give students experience in creating business models and testing the market, as well as a range of seminars and events to encourage students to develop their entrepreneurial skills.

Having partnered with hundreds of organisations across the world, Hue’s students can benefit from international activities such as exchange programmes, joint research, and international events. Some of Hue’s partnership institutions include Vienna University, La Trobe University, University of Rennes, Kyoto University, and Hawaii University, meaning students have the opportunity to study in countries including Austria, Australia, France, Japan, and the US.
