关于 Lee University
Lee University is a liberal arts institution based in the town of Cleveland, southeastern Tennessee. It was founded in 1918 as a Bible Training School, and continues an affiliation with the evangelical Church of God. The university is named for F.J. Lee, the second president of the institution. Sports teams are known as the Flames, and in 2014 the women’s soccer team won the NCAA Division I championship.
The university is split into two colleges, Arts & Sciences and Education, and three schools; Music, Nursing, and Religion. Lee also offers six areas of graduate study, from a Master's in business administration to a Master of music in conducting.
Students can enjoy the theatrical productions that take place at the 450 seat proscenium arch theatre at Dixon Centre, and the close environment of the 105-seater performance area on the third floor of the Vest building. The university offers a B.A. in Theatre, and students can obtain and create necessary equipment at the shops of Costume, and Scene.
The Festival Choir is made up from around 350 singers from the seven choral ensembles at Lee University. The choir regularly performs at campus and community events with the Symphony Orchestra and Wind ensemble, and in January 2013 performed at the 57th Presidential inauguration, welcoming Barack Obama into his second term in office.
Lee University is an institution dedicated to Christian ethics, and requires each student to sign a Community Covenant upon enrollment. As well as anti-discrimination legislation and church attendance requirements at special events, the contract makes clear the university does not condone a student’s use of tobacco or alcohol. tes
