Classic texts usually take a while to achieve their status, so Don Harker's pointed remark (Books, THES, April 9) that James Curran and Jean Seaton's Power and Responsibility "was first published only two years ago and is already in its fifth edition" sounded unlikely. In fact, my copy says it was first published in 1981.
