Women's woes

二月 26, 1999

How can women succeed when your images of them are painted to fit the stereotype ("These women have had so many breaks...", THES, February 12).

You edited out the fact that the underachieving "me" was senior commissioning editor for one of the largest publishers in the world before I was 30. And my current job, as head of press and publications for Cambridge University, is a position equivalent to that of head of communications for a multinational.

If that is underachievement, then it is a wonder women step out of the house at all.
