Letter: In brief 3

十二月 21, 2001

Some £21 million has apparently been spent on mothballing the Dome. Some £1.7 billion will be needed to bail out the nuclear power industry. The Individual Learning Accounts are overspent by £59 million ("Trainers may sue government over ILA axe", THES , December 14). Yet the finances needed to properly reward the world-class university research just delivered can't be found. What was that slogan again? Education, education, education?
