Uruk University is located in Baghdad, Iraq and was founded in 2015 with the vision to become a leading university driving socio-economic development locally and nationally. The university aims to supply graduates to meet the demands of the Iraqi economy, enhance students’ skills, adapt to technological advancements, support scientific research and link it with the needs of the community.
The university has six colleges: dentistry, pharmacy, engineering, law, medical and health technology, administration and economy, as well as the two departments; medical devices technique engineering, and interior design. Across these subject areas, students can choose a range of specialisms to extend their knowledge and develop practical skills that they can carry into the workplace after university.
Baghdad is Iraq’s capital city and has been a centre of learning since the eighth century. The city hosts an annual International Book Fair attracting visitors from across the globe.
