ABOUT XJTLU

In 2006 Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) was created by the University of Liverpool and Xi’an Jiaotong University – a top ten university in China. Offering a unique international education experience, XJTLU brings together excellent research practice and expertise from both institutions and gives students the skills and knowledge they need to secure careers in a global marketplace. The Taicang site will be a pioneer of, and educational model for, the future campus in addressing challenges arising from the 4th Industrial Revolution. Other new initiatives include new working partnerships with Xi’an Jiaotong University, the continued development of the four new Academies, and exploration of further potential locations to develop the SE model.

With a focus on innovative learning and teaching, and research, XJTLU draws on the strengths of its parent universities, and plays a pivotal role in facilitating access to China for UK and other institutional partners. ABOUT INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SCHOOL SUZHOU (IBSS)

International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is growing in size and influence in pursuit of its vision to be a leading international business school. The school is based on strong principles of internationalism, innovation, inspiration and integrity, which together ensure that we have a positive impact on society through our teaching, research and business engagement. In that pursuit, IBSS became the youngest business school to be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 2016, and again, the youngest School to receive EQUIS accreditation in 2018. The Department of Accounting becomes an independent academic unit with the beginning of the 2020/21 academic year, as a result of splitting the original Department of Accounting and Finance. At present, the Accounting Department has a team of 30 academic staff, publishing in high-quality international accounting journals and also maintaining a balance of academic research and professional engagement. More than 80% of our accounting faculty members are affiliated with at least one of the professional accounting bodies as follows: AICPA, UK CIMA/ICAEW/ACCA, CA/CPA Australia, CICPA/HKICPA. Members of the department mainly teach BA Accounting programme and MSc Professional Accounting programme, and also support widely many other business-related programmes. Our MSc Professional Accounting programme has received professional accreditation from ICAEW. BA Accounting programme has received professional accreditations from the ACCA, CIMA, CPA Australia and ICAEW. In addition, our BA Accounting students have been performing well in national/international competitions organized by professional accounting bodies: for example, championship (2020) in CIMA GBC competition in North Asia region.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATION

Essential Qualifications/Experience

Successful applicants to the position of Teaching Fellow are expected to have:


	A Master’s degree in accounting or a related field,
	A recognized professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CPA etc.), 
	A teaching interest in auditing, and/or UK taxation and/or UK business law,
	Two-year full time teaching experience in higher education.


Successful applicants to the position of Senior Teaching Fellow are expected to have:


	A Master’s degree in accounting or a related field,
	A recognized professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CPA etc.), 
	A teaching interest in auditing, and/or UK taxation and/or UK business law,
	Five-year full time teaching experience in higher education.


Desirable Qualifications/Experience


	Curriculum design and programme development experience,
	Public accounting work experience,
	Active engagement with professional community.


CITIZENSHIP AND VISA REGULATIONS

Employment at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is regulated by Chinese Labour Laws, and must comply with the regulations of the provincial government. Description

As part of the Electrical Engineering program of the Engineering Division and the Center of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at NYU Abu Dhabi the group of Prof. Kyriakopoulos seeks to improve the autonomy of Field Robotic systems by fusing control theoretic and machine intelligence approaches. Formal models are directly applied in real experimental facilities.

We are seeking a Post-Doctoral associate to join our expanding team and make significant contributions to the field. The researcher is expected to have (i) strong engineering skills to find innovative and cost-effective means to improve our research, and (ii) exemplary passion and motivation to enhance our multidisciplinary research at the intersection of control theory and machine intelligence. Methodologies of interest include:


	Robot modelling,
	Nonlinear and Optimal control,
	Perception for robotic navigation and control, and
	Reinforcement learning.


The Post-Doctoral associate will be based at NYU Abu Dhabi and will directly report to Prof. K.J.Kyriakopoulos in close collaboration with other researchers, PhD students, and undergraduate research assistants. The Post-Doctoral associate will engage with our regular collaborators at local institutions in the UAE and abroad.

Key responsibilities


	Conduct high-quality and innovative research primarily focused on Control theory and ML methodologies for Field Robotics;
	Support the supervisor in developing and implementing the research agenda;
	Reproduce results of the state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods;
	Design and implement experiments to compare proposed work with SOTA baselines;
	Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts for publication in high-impact journals and conferences;
	Integrate, maintain and document mechatronic devices;
	Create, maintain, and document high-quality research code for reproducibility; and
	Collaborate with scientists within the NYU Global Network and in Abu Dhabi.


Minimum Qualifications


	Currently has a Doctoral degree from a recognized institution in Electrical, Mechanical, Naval or Aerospace Engineering
	First-author peer-reviewed published papers (and/or under review)
	Demonstrable research experience involving integration of hardware and software of robotic systems
	Demonstrable research experience in conducting experiments for field robotic systems
	Proficient programming experience in embedded, real-time software in C/C and Python with several years of practice
	Experience in maintaining high-quality code on Github
	Ability to visualize experimental results
	Effective inter-personal and team-building skills
	Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and in a team to get the work done
	Excellent communication skills (oral and written communication
	Willingness to learn and confront new challenges


The appointment will be for one year, with the option to renew further depending on performance. The terms of employment are competitive and will include housing and travel subsidies. About Position:

The School of English Studies at WKU seeks a Writing Center Director who will also hold a tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor role in English. The position starts in Fall 2025 and involves managing a new writing center and teaching writing courses. This is a full-time, 10-month appointment with a 24-credit teaching load (6 credits course release provided for writing center administration and research).

Responsibilities:


	Manage the Writing Center, including scheduling and overseeing tutoring.
	Develop writing center marketing and outreach initiatives.
	Organize workshops on academic writing across disciplines.
	Teach writing courses, including a writing center pedagogy course.
	Conduct and publish research on writing center pedagogy or related fields.
	Manage the writing center budget and outcomes assessment


This position is appointed on a 3-year contract at the first instance, effective for the year of 2025.

Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day, evening, weekend and online courses. Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable. All faculty may be required to teach General Education courses as needed. Opportunities are also available to teach disciplinary support courses. About Wenzhou-Kean University

Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU), located in Wenzhou, China, one of three Sino-American universities along with NYU Shanghai and Duke Kunshan University, is approved by the Ministry of Education of China. Annual salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience with the range of $68,000-$75,000 for Assistant Professor. Salary of extraordinary candidates shall be determined on a case-by-case basis. A well-rounded healthcare coverage, academic travel up to $2,000, housing options and subsidy up to $3,000, home traveling up to $6,000 (2 international round-trip airfares), a reimbursement to cover relocation expenses up to $1,000, shuttle bus to campus for work, and up to 8% front-load retirement benefits within accordance with completion of years of service with the University. Qualifications


	Ph.D. in English or Rhetoric and Composition (ABD considered).

	Experience in writing center administration and tutoring international students.
	Native English speaker as required by Chinese law.
