The University of Technology, Mauritius is a public research university located in Mauritius. The university was established on 21 June 2000 through the merger of a range of public training institutions.
The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses through its School of Innovative Technologies and Engineering, School of Business Management and Finance, School of Sustainable Development, and Tourism School of Health Sciences.
Since June 2009, the university has also been affiliated with Dr. D Y Patil Medical College, offering postgraduate medical degrees in fields including general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, gynecology, orthopedics, radiology, anesthesia, psychiatry, ophthalmology and dermatology.
The university has forged academic partnerships with companies such as Microsoft, Inter Systems SAP, Oracle Corporation and Sun Microsystems to provide skill-based learning and boost the employability of its graduates.
In addition to this, the university is also a member of international university networks like the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Southern African Regional Universities Association (SARUA).
