An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our fast-paced Finance Team. The role of International Finance Officer entails coordinating and maintaining the financial operation of international student payments and scholarships. In addition, you will oversee our international payment tracker, collecting payments and arranging payment plans. You will work closely with our International and Student Record teams to ensure accurate and efficient data is available on all international students.

Key Responsibilities


	Collaborate with partners from both the academia and the industry to lead and/or conduct innovative research on, but not limited to evolutionary computing, job scheduling, transfer optimization, transfer learning, reinforcement learning, large-scale optimization, smart manufacturing, etc.
	Contribute to academic research in the relevant domains and publish high-tier journal papers and conference papers.
	Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI) to ensure all project deliverables are met.
	Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers.
	Participate in computer science related laboratories and tutorials for undergraduate students.
	Interview and supervise student assistants in the project.

Research Assistant Professor
Division of Artificial Intelligence

The Division is looking for experienced Research Assistant Professor who will (i) carry out research and submit papers to top journals in the field of large language models. Additionally, the appointee will be responsible for submitting grant proposals to various funding bodies. Furthermore, the appointee will have the opportunity to organize conferences, seminars, reading groups, workshops, and other related research activities; (ii) play a central role in the daily operation of the upcoming new Taught Postgraduate programme(s) offered by the Division of Artificial Intelligence. The teaching load will be two courses per year, distributed according to the needs of the Institute and upon mutual agreement. English will be the medium of instruction. The appointee will also be required to supervise students’ projects or thesis; and (iii) perform administrative duties as assigned by the Associate Dean (i.e., Person-in-Charge of the Division of Artificial Intelligence).

General Requirements

Candidates should have (i) a PhD degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant discipline; (ii) a good command of both English and Chinese; (iii) a strong publication record in the top-tier journals/conferences in the relevant field; and (iv) experience in developing external competitive research proposals. Candidates with a good teaching record will be an advantage.

Appointment

The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Chief Executive Officer is entrusted with the critical role of steering the park's strategic direction. The Division is looking for experienced Assistant Professor of Teaching who will (1) teach multiple subjects in both undergraduate-level and postgraduate-level programmes in data science areas focusing on industrial data sciences, blockchain, data sciences, artificial intelligence, etc., (2) work on the promotions and admissions as well as the operations for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and (3) contribute to other administrative duties as required by the supervisors.
