The Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali is located in Brunei Darussalam and can trace its roots back to the 1950s. In 2007, it was officially established as an Islamic institution of higher learning under the patronage of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei.
It is the only Islamic university in the country, with a focus on integrating Islamic teachings into modern education.
The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in various fields, including Arabic language and translation, science in Islamic finance, Islamic law and legal practice and business management among others.
Many of the courses in management, finance and science are taught in English while other courses are taught in Arabic.
