Université Paris Cité was born in 2019 through the merger of Paris Diderot, Paris Descartes universities and Institut de physique du globe de Paris as a component institution. The university is comprised of three faculties: Health, Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences. Since July 2021, the Institut Pasteur is a partner research organisation of Université Paris Cité. Université Paris Cité is a founding member of the Circle U. European University Alliance.
The university is located in the heart of Paris with over 14 campuses and research facilities spread around the city. Along with a strategic portfolio of privileged international academic partners, we offer our student’s state-of-the-art, innovative programmes in the following fields:

French is the main language spoken at the university; however, we offer a wide range of international joint degrees and several programmes taught in English as well.
Université Paris Cité aims to promote access for international students who wish to undertake their academic studies at the master’s level and for those pursuing research projects at the doctoral level. We offer several types of scholarship programmes. The criteria and eligibility requirements for each programme may be different depending on your situation.
Student Life
The university has 20 libraries, innovative collaborative workstations like the Fablab co-working space, sport facilities and activities. Université Paris Cité also organises cultural events and has partnerships with cultural institutions in Paris.
The alumni network at Université Paris Cité is a community of over 500,000 of former students. Current students can benefit from experiences of alumni having completed their studies and can take advantage of opportunities, internships, work-study programmes or first jobs. Students can connect with each other on the alumni platform.
Université Paris Cité has a welcome desk dedicated to international students by supporting and facilitating with administrative formalities, housing, financial assistance as well as providing guidance to students when they arrive in Paris and throughout their academic studies.
