Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL) is a private university located in Peru’s capital, Lima. It\s part of a group of institutions founded in 1995 by former Peruvian Vice President Raúl Diez Canseco.
USIL offers over 40 undergraduate programmes through its eight colleges: architecture; business; education; engineering; health sciences; hospitality management, tourism administration and gastronomy; humanities; and law. The graduate school also offers doctorate, master’s degree and certificate programmes.
The curriculum includes courses taught in English, as well as offering an intensive English language programme, for the purpose of producing bilingual entrepreneurs who are able to read and write in two languages, as well as conduct research work, not only in Peru, but in other parts of the world as well.
Home to more than 10,000 students yearly, USIL has a modern campus based in the La Molina district of Lima. Here, students will find spacious classrooms, laboratories, a library, student centre, cafeteria and an on-campus restaurant.
Through a number of sports facilities, students can join a variety of team sports including basketball, football, swimming, volleyball, athletics, chess, bowling, judo, jiu jitsu, tae kwon do and modern dance.
USIL has a partnership with San Ignacio University of Miami, Florida offering students the opportunity to get a dual Peruvian and American degree over five years of study. Subjects offered within this scheme are: business, international business, marketing and hospitality management.
USIL also hosts international students from more than 90 universities throughout the world through exchange programmes.
