We are seeking to recruit a qualified Counsellor, Psychotherapist or Counselling Psychologist (BACP, UKCP or BPS registered, or eligible for such) to join our established multidisciplinary team working with students with wide ranging and sometimes complex issues. The role is offered on a part time, 3-day-a-week basis, for a 0.6 Full time Equivalent.

About 70% of our sessions are ‘One at a Time’, and we also support students with brief counselling contracts, and sometimes over the longer term, both face to face and via video. Some counsellors also offer phone, email and IM counselling, but this is optional.

	Integrative and flexible therapeutic approach
	Able to bring new skills, life experience and fresh perspectives to our team
	Understanding and experience of promoting the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda.


Core hours are 9am-5pm. Candidates must be able to attend campus for all their working hours.

About the Role

Join the University of Melbourne’s dynamic research community as a Researcher focused on advanced combustion simulations for gas turbines and reciprocating engines. This position offers the opportunity to lead independent research using cutting-edge High-Performance Computing (HPC), Direct Numerical Simulations (DNS), Large Eddy Simulations (LES), and a novel experimental setup developed at the University. 	Supervising junior research staff in the appointee’s area of expertise

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to driving innovation in energy technologies. The ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment is essential.

You will also have:


	A PhD in Mechanical, Chemical or Aerospace Engineering, or closely related discipline; with no more than 5 years of experience post-PhD
	A record of quality research as evidenced by publications in leading journals and at conferences commensurate with opportunity
	Ability to perform independent research and a commitment to interdisciplinary research

About the opportunity

The University's Governance Office (UGO) is in an exciting period of development, striving to deliver a contemporary and integrated service offering aligned with the University's strategic objectives. As a result, we are seeking an experienced Business Program Manager to provide overall management of the Privacy Resilience Program (PRP). This is a high-profile remediation program which is aimed at reducing the University's significant risk exposure in relation to management of sensitive personal information.
This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the Manager, Privacy, and to play a strategic role overseeing and directing the program of work. Leading a team of program specialists, you will work with senior representatives of impacted areas to ensure appropriate focus and buy-in towards addressing risks within their area, in relation to privacy and data collection practices.

Your key responsibilities will be to:


	work with the business owner to manage the overall approach and work plans to ensure achievement of the program outcomes
	ensure senior leaders have a strong understanding of their compliance obligations in relation to data collection and privacy matters, within their respective work areas
	collaborate with and influence senior stakeholders across the various portfolios, faculties and schools and research centres, to provide recommendations and support towards implementation activities within their local areas
	manage the overall program financials, resources, prioritisation, organisation and implementation
	ensure that ICT project activities are aligned with the business activities and manage any conflicts or disconnects
	manage the development of communications and promotes the program of work across the University

About you


	experience in the program management of governance activities and frameworks in relation to privacy, confidentiality and data collection
	high degree of comfort working within a complex and multifaceted organisation (tertiary sector is advantageous)
	demonstrated experience in complex program management involving intersecting legal, policy and business practice considerations
	sophisticated influencing skills, and the ability to provide relevant and strategically aligned advice to senior stakeholders
	proven track record in the successful leadership and management of a high performing team of project professionals
	excellent program management and planning skills, coupled with a general understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, project standards and methodologies
	capability in managing high volumes, competing priorities and a variety of responsibilities and stakeholders.

The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi, UAE is inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position in the areas of Protein Biochemistry and Enzymology. The candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Wael Rabeh (https://www.rabehlab.com/) on the study of enzymes’ structures and functions in the area of cancer metabolism and viral infectious diseases. Applicants must have a strong background in protein biochemistry including experience in protein expression and purification. The lab is well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for spectroscopy, thermodynamic and kinetic characterization of proteins’ thermal and chemical unfolding, and mass-spectroscopy for studying protein dynamics.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in biochemistry or a related field of study. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview. Experience in mass spectroscopy or enzymology is desirable. Priority given to candidates with a background in the following areas of expertise:

Protein expression and purification (essential): The candidate must have prior hands-on experience in protein expression in E. coli or other cell lines and purification using affinity and size exclusion chromatography. Experience using FPLC in protein purification is a plus.

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:


	Enzymology: mechanistic characterization of enzymes using initial velocity and enzyme inhibition kinetics.
	Hydrogen/deuterium exchange (HDX) mass spectrometry (MS) application in the study of enzyme dynamics and protein structural characterization.
	Spectroscopy including UV-Vis, fluorescence and circular dichroism spectroscopy.
	Calorimetry including differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC).


The appointment is for a one-year, renewable term, starting on August 1st, 2024. The employment terms are competitive and include a tax-free salary plus housing and educational subsidies and health and dental insurance for the Postdoctoral Associate and their dependents. In addition, the candidate will receive travel and transportation allowances and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
