UEES, Espiritu Santo University is a non-profit private university located in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Its campus is located in Samborondón, Greater Guayaquil.
The institution specialises in courses in education, communication, politics and ecology. It has multiple international partners that allows students to expand their studies across the best institutions in Europe, Asia and America.
The majority of courses are taught in Spanish, however a few of the courses are taught in English through the International Careers Programme.
The beautiful modern campus is a good environment for students to study and socialise in. There is medical care, parking and safe student residencies on the campus. Facilities also include a sports complex which comprise of a swimming pool, gym and courts.
The library, which is situated at the centre of campus, includes both physical and digital volumes. The digital collection exceeds more than 4 million documents which is the largest digital resource in the world among universities.
One notable alumni would be model, environmentalist and lifestyle entrpreneur Olga Álava, who studied international business. She has worked to educate the public about the importance of reducing pollution, as well as raising a lot of money for charity. Olga also had achievements in pageantry and become the first Miss Earth from Ecuador in 2011.
There are a number of extracurricular activities that students can involved with that cover a number of different areas including technology, journalism, economics, ecology, leadership, reading, cinema and international affairs.
Upon graduation many students go onto further education or research projects.
