Turan University is the largest private university in Kazakhstan located in the city of Almaty.
It was established in 1992 and offers bachelors, masters, PhD courses in three major streams: humanities and law, economics, and cinema and television.
The university has academic partnerships with leading institutions across the world and provides students with the opportunity to study at its partner institutions through its wide range of exchange programs. Several visiting lectures, joint programs and projects are organised by the university in collaboration with its international partners.
Turan University is also popular in Kazakhstan for its different industry related collaborative and research projects like the Business Incubator. In addition to these, the university also has two major research institutes: The Institute of World Economics and International Relations, and the Tourism Scientific Research Institute.
The university is spread over a large area of 35,000 square metres and is home to large football pitches, sport halls, dormitories, a Lyceum, and an educational and recreational complex called “Tau- Turan”.
The university's motto is “Turan for those whose believe in themselves and strive for success”.
