Founded in 2005, Tafila Technical University is located on the Al-Ais Hills, which overlook the town of Tafila
Students can study both undergraduate and graduate degrees within the following colleges: arts, engineering, sciences, business and educational sciences. There’s also a Technical Community College.
Within these colleges, students can specialise further and study subjects like mining engineering, integrated renewable energy engineering, English language and literature, accounting, computer information systems and educational psychology.
On campus, students will find laboratories, classrooms, a computer centre, a library and restaurants. There’s also student housing available for students to live on campus as well as sports facilities.
There’s also a language centre, which offers language courses for all students at the university. It offers courses in English, Arabic, and French. Faculty members from the College of Arts teach these courses.
Its Computer and Information Technology Center (CITC), which maintains the university’s network, holds regular computer courses for students, faculty members as well as the local community.
To link university resources to community groups in the region, there’s also a Community Partnership Centre.
Tafila Technical University has established relationships with universities around the world, carrying out various exchange activities such as academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and the opportunity for students to study abroad.
