Showa Women’s University is a private university located in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan. Offering programmes for undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral students across five research institutes, the university also has affiliated schools, from nursery to high school.
The university has four campuses. The main one is located in Setagaya. There are also two satellite campuses, Tomei Gakurin in Kanagawa and Boshu Kaihin Gakuryo in Chiba, Japan. Showa Women’s University also has an international campus in Boston, Massachusetts.
There are six undergraduate faculties including international humanities, humanities and culture, food and health sciences, humanities and social sciences, global business and environmental science and design. Graduate programmes include letters and human life sciences.
The university has seven research centres including the Institute of Modern Culture, the Institute of Women's Culture and the Institute of Women's Health Sciences among others.
The Centre for International Exchange supports international students that choose to study at the university. This includes English and Japanese clubs, a class advisor and financial aid.
