Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University is the first public women’s university in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan.
The university has been named after the women of Pakistan who have worked towards women's rights. The university has been functioning under its current name since 2005.
The university has six departments including: numerical and physical sciences, life sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities, management sciences, and geography, as well as a Centre for Women’s Development.
The university’s campus is located in Peshawar, the capital of the Khyber Pakhtunkwa province and its largest city.
