Seitoku University is a women’s university located in Matsudo, Japan, taking its name from the Prince Shōtoku. The university was founded in 1933. The university hopes to advance women’s opportunities as well as providing them with a solid home education.
There are six faculties at Seitoku University: child studies, psychology and welfare, literature, human nutrition, nursing, and music. Across these faculties, students can choose from several courses from music education to composition, child culture and family psychology, as well as library science and musical performance.
The school offers an international exchange programme where students can spend some time studying abroad. The university aims to share Japan’s culture with others across the world through its students, while learning about other cultures too. Students have the opportunity to travel to the US, South Korea, Taiwan, China and Belgium through this programme, and encourages students from these countries to travel to Japan too.
There are five universities located in the area, making for a large student population in the city, where those from different universities can come together and share knowledge.
