About the role:

Would you like to play a key role in supporting the University as part of our 'Ask HR' team, providing advice and guidance on a variety of HR topics?

If you are a confident and self-motivated individual who would like to join a responsive and effective HR team, we would like to hear from you.

You will be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, with a good eye for detail. You will need to be proactive with a flexible approach and have the ability to work with changing priorities during periods of pressured workload. Naturally, you will be able to build and maintain relationships with a variety of people across the University.

The role is varied, as you will be the first line of contact for both internal and external customers contacting HR. We offer telephone, email and in-person support to customers using a range of IT systems (such as the central HR database and a ticketing system).

The expected hours of work for this role are full time or part time (0.8FTE or above). Work patterns to include 4 or 5 full days per week (9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday).

The typical starting salary for this role will be £26,642 (spinal point 17 on the University Level 1-6 pay scale), unless you have significant experience in a similar role. Staff increment one spinal point each year, up to the top of the Level.

What we offer:

Your main work location will be Highfield Campus, however, our HR department works across both Highfield Campus and One Guildhall Square. Both offices have easy access to public transport, restaurants, coffee shops and a University gym.

There is a team rota in place to cover the in-person service on Highfield Campus. The in-person service requires you to attend the office regularly (approximately 2-3 times per week and at other times when required). However, there is also the opportunity to work flexibly from home when not due in the office.

About the Roles

The Project Managers will facilitate and have oversight of DICE initiatives that directly contribute towards achieving the University’s strategic objectives. They will work in a small team but will engage with a broad group of stakeholders, including vendors and external partners as required. 

Initiatives for which Project Managers are sought are: Next Generation Core Digital Infrastructure and Network Modernisation Program. 

Key Duties:  


	Facilitate initiatives from inception through to completion by applying the relevant project management methodology, considering the operational context and the ITS Agile delivery approach 
	Provide leadership and management to create an engaged and cohesive team that operates according to the ITS target cultural values 
	Establish, maintain and support appropriate governance arrangements, and monitor progress to ensure milestones are met and outcomes are delivered 
	Manage vendors and contracts in line with ANU policies and procedures and best practice to ensure the University interests are protected 


About You

	Has extensive experience in supporting ICT initiatives to achieve high quality outcomes, including working in or interfacing with an Agile environment 
	Has strong interpersonal and communication skills

	Has a strong understanding of network security and modernisation technologies and experience delivering network rollout projects (requirement for the Network Modernisation Program role only)

UNIVERSITY OVERVIEW:

In 2006 Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) was created by the University of Liverpool and Xi’an Jiaotong University – a top ten university in China. Offering a unique international education experience, XJTLU brings together excellent research practice and expertise from both institutions and gives students the skills and knowledge they need to secure careers in a global marketplace. XJTLU now has over 25,000 enrolled students in both Suzhou and Liverpool in the UK, with plans to grow to about 28,000 students by 2025. DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

The Department of Applied Mathematics invites applications for positions at any level. Our international department has academic staff actively engaged in research in the analysis of differential equations, numerical analysis, optimisation, operational research as well as their applications. We seek individuals with a PhD in mathematics who will make a strong contribution to the research output of the department.

Successful candidates will show commitment to a high standard of teaching at all levels. The department is involved in the delivery of three four-year undergraduate mathematics programmes as well as the provision of service teaching for other programmes within the university. At the postgraduate level, we offer a PhD programme in Mathematical Sciences.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


	Conduct high-quality research, leading to publications in top journals.
	Actively attract external research funding.
	Supervise PhD students and undergraduate student projects.
	Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in English.
	Contribute to the functioning of the department and school.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:


	Numerical machine leaning/Scientific Machine Learning are highly expected

	A PhD in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.
	Two years of full time postdoctoral experience with demonstrable teaching experience.

With the support of a National Endowment for the Humanities Challenge Grant, the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies in the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for its faculty fellowship program. The NEH Keough-Naughton Fellowship will enable an outstanding scholar to continue his or her research while in residence in the Keough-Naughton Institute during the academic year 2025-2026. The Fellowship is open to Ph.D. scholars in any area of Irish Studies. The stipend is $60,000 with benefits.

The NEH Keough-Naughton Fellow will participate in a periodic faculty seminar and present a paper on his or her research during the year. Apart from the seminar, the Fellow’s only obligation will be to pursue his or her research. The Fellow will be fully integrated into the life of the Institute, with library privileges and access to the Institute’s research tools and network.

Must have a Ph.D. before the start of the fellowship
