Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna has a history that dates back to 1988 when Rajamangala Institute of Technology was established. In 2005 the institute became Rajamangala University of Technology following Thailand’s National Education Act of 1999. The university has nine branches spread across Thailand, one of which is Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna.
The university is located in Chiang Mai, the largest city in northern Thailand.
There are five campuses situated across Chiang Mai: Chiangrai, Tak, Nan, Phitsanulok, and Lampang.
The university consists of four faculties: the faculty of business administration and liberal arts, faculty of sciences and agricultural technology, faculty of engineering, and the faculty of arts and architecture, as well as the college of integrated science and technology. Each faculty offers a variety of degree programmes at both undergraduate and graduate level.
The Office of International Relations is responsible for overseeing the university’s international activity. The university has developed partnerships with other higher education institutions across the globe in countries such as Australia, Japan, Malaysia, and the US to facilitate academic and scientific exchanges.
