Research Development and Support 

Research Development and Support (RDS) works with Flinders researchers, Colleges, Centres and Institutes, other portfolios, and external stakeholders to proactively support our research. Our teams underpin Flinders’ research evolving from ideas through to impact. RDS is part of the Portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and provides excellence in all facets of research management and promoting Flinders’ research. 

About the Role

As Research Support Assistant, you will provide vital research administrative support to researchers within the College of Business, Government and Law and related Centres and Institutes.

Working closely with the College RDS support team you will:


	Provide advice on the interpretation of funding guidelines and administrative procedures in accordance with university policies and other relevant information.
	Assist researchers with the administrative aspects of the preparation and submission of grant and tender applications.
	Communicate research funding and training opportunities.
	Provide secretariat support to committees and/or working groups within the College.
	Deliver an excellent customer service experience by proactively investigating, assembling and communicating information on a wide range of issues related to research to a diverse internal audience.

About You

You will demonstrate a high degree of initiative and experience in delivering high quality administration and support services within a large and complex organisation, with experience in university administrative systems and procedures. You will be an excellent communicator who uses their high-level interpersonal skills to develop strong and collegial relationships with staﬀ and stakeholders. With well-developed written communication skills, you will provide administrative support to assist the operations of the College and related Centres and Institutes. You will apply your analytical and problem-solving skills and work well both individually and as part of a team, exercising judgment in the prioritizing of tasks to deliver set objectives and continuously improve processes and procedures. Your keen attention to detail will help to demonstrate your commitment to high quality service delivery and you will have well-developed computing skills in using office computer applications.

You will also have completed a degree, or equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.

Research Assistant Professor
Division of Artificial Intelligence

The Division is looking for experienced Research Assistant Professor who will (i) carry out research and submit papers to top journals in the field of large language models. Additionally, the appointee will be responsible for submitting grant proposals to various funding bodies. Furthermore, the appointee will have the opportunity to organize conferences, seminars, reading groups, workshops, and other related research activities; (ii) play a central role in the daily operation of the upcoming new Taught Postgraduate programme(s) offered by the Division of Artificial Intelligence. The teaching load will be two courses per year, distributed according to the needs of the Institute and upon mutual agreement. English will be the medium of instruction. The appointee will also be required to supervise students’ projects or thesis; and (iii) perform administrative duties as assigned by the Associate Dean (i.e., Person-in-Charge of the Division of Artificial Intelligence).

General Requirements

Candidates should have (i) a PhD degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant discipline; (ii) a good command of both English and Chinese; (iii) a strong publication record in the top-tier journals/conferences in the relevant field; and (iv) experience in developing external competitive research proposals. Candidates with a good teaching record will be an advantage.

Appointment

The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee. About the Role

The Lecturer in Clinical Skills will play a pivotal role in advancing excellence in teaching and learning across a diverse range of Medicine subjects within the College of Medicine and Public Health. The primary focus of this position is on teaching and related duties, which encompass the creation, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of university-level education.

Senior Lecturer (Level C)

About the Role

The Senior Lecturer will provide strong leadership in driving excellence in teaching and learning across the diverse range of Medicine topics and courses within the College of Medicine and Public Health. This position focuses on providing leadership in teaching and related duties, including the creation, delivery, and continuous improvement of university-level education. The role requires recent, extensive experience in professional practice and a contribution to high-quality service at the university, professional, and community levels, with potential national or international impact.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


	Curriculum design and review
	Advance educational technologies and ensure compliance and accreditation
	Create, coordinate and conduct inspiring teaching informed by approaches that enhance the student experience
	Contribute to the planning and evaluation of these topics, undertaking the roles of Topic Coordinator and Couse Coordinator as required.


About You

	Professional/clinical experience in Medicine.

About the Role

As Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Research), you will be a key member of the academic staff of Speech Pathology in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. The incumbent will contribute to high quality and innovative research, including scholarship, publication, external grant acquisition, mentoring and aiding in the development of early career researchers consistent with the Caring Futures Institute Research Strategy.

The Senior Lecturer will also play a lead role in the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning experiences for students. This may include lectures, tutorials, laboratory-based material, curriculum development or other modes of teaching, such as placement education for topics, primarily within the suite of Speech Pathology topics.

	Completion of a higher degree at Masters level or substantial progress towards a doctoral degree in the discipline area.
	Relevant and contemporary experience as a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist in the area of child language and literacy and disability.
	Evidence of a strong research track record (for career stage) in an area of strategic research focus for the Caring Futures Institute, including evidence of sustained high-quality publications with evident senior authorship contribution and attraction of external competitive grants.
	Hold and maintain a current membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
	Experience in topic coordination, course coordination and/or curriculum design.
