Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement 

The Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement provides strategic leadership to the university with a vision for Equal engagement and participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in higher education through the recognition of, and respect for, Indigenous peoples, knowledge, and culture. Our mission is to increase the recognition of Indigenous knowledges and perspectives, the promotion of teaching and research in Indigenous studies, the employment of Indigenous staff, increasing the participation of, and opportunities for, Indigenous students and engagement with Indigenous communities and issues.

About the Role

Flinders University is seeking an Indigenous Community Partnerships and Pathways Coordinator to join their team within the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement.

The Indigenous Community Partnerships and Pathways Coordinator (ICPPC) will work to raise the profile of the University to prospective Indigenous students by facilitating partnerships with Indigenous community organisations, schools and educational programs. The successful candidate will manage a small team of staff, coordinate partnerships with pathways stakeholders, contribute to the development of an Indigenous Recruitment Strategy, and develop an annual calendar of recruitment activities and events that promote access to Flinders University pathways.

The successful candidate will also:


	Act as a key liaison point and subject matter expert regarding pathways into Flinders University including the Indigenous Admission Scheme, scholarship and accommodation.
	Foster sustainable relationships with an extensive network of internal and external stakeholders.
	Evaluate and analyse key statistics on applications and enrolments of students in order to provide input into recruitment strategies and activities.

You will be competent in undertaking and overseeing projects, analysing statistics, reporting and fostering sustainable relationships which will in turn, grow the overall presence of the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement.

	Leadership skills with the ability to manage a small team of staff.
	Significant experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
	Relationship management skills, including the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
	Demonstrated project and event management skills, including planning and coordination of projects with multiple stakeholders, and within agreed standards, timeframes and budgets.
	Demonstrated high-level administration skills, including managing budgets, preparing reports and briefs, and the ability to use computer software and related applications.

The Infectious Disease and Epidemiology Research group in the School of Clinical and Experimental Sciences wish to appoint two Research Facilitators to help support the technical aspects of research activities and to assist with the day to day running of research studies undertaken by the group. The research group is based within the Faculty of Medicine at Southampton General Hospital.

Our group is undertaking a number of projects looking at the epidemiology of respiratory pathogens. Applications are invited from those with relevant experience of laboratory based microbiology and experience of research governance. Experience of bacterial identification is desirable. These posts are full-time but consideration will be given to those who wish to work part-time. Applicants must be available to work with some flexibility.

Description

The Center for Smart Engineering Materials (CSEM), NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), is inviting applications for a fully funded Post-Doctoral Associate position in the areas of materials and devices for sensing applications.

The Post-Doctoral Associate will work under the supervision of Dr. Panče Naumov (Center for Smart Engineering Materials (NYUAD-CSEM)) on preparation of materials and devices for sensing of organic and inorganic chemical components by using electrochemical, optical or other methods. The candidate will prepare, characterize and assess the performance of devices, specifically aimed at applications in the oil and gas sector. Moreover, the candidate will have access to the well-equipped core research facilities of NYUAD.

Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree in either science (Chemistry, Physics) or Engineering, with prior experience and strong publication record in device fabrication.

Description

The Trabolsi Research Group at New York University Abu Dhabi invites applications for a post-doctoral associate position focused on the development of covalent organic frameworks (COFs)-based adsorbents and membranes for advanced water purification technologies.

The successful candidate will lead innovative research aimed at optimizing the application of COFs in water purification, with a particular focus on removing emerging contaminants such as pharmaceuticals and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from water. This project will involve the directed synthesis of COF structures tailored for the selective removal of specific contaminants, followed by comprehensive studies of their molecular interactions with various emerging pollutants.

Key Responsibilities:


	Design and synthesize COFs with specific properties for targeted contaminant removal.
	Develop and optimize methods for using COF-based materials in water treatment systems, including adsorption columns and membrane technologies.
	Conduct experiments using techniques such as batch adsorption protocols, adsorption columns, membrane cells, and electrochemical water decontamination.
	Analyze and interpret data from these techniques to refine and improve COF performance in real-world applications.
	Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of PhD scientists, graduate students, and undergraduates, contributing to a dynamic and collaborative research environment.


Qualifications:


	PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
	Extensive experience in the synthesis and characterization of covalent organic frameworks, particularly as they relate to water treatment applications.
	Strong background in experimental techniques relevant to the project, including experience with porous frameworks in water purification systems.
	Proficiency in analytical techniques used to characterize materials and their interactions with contaminants.
	A proven track record of interdisciplinary research and collaboration in materials science and engineering is preferred.
