Pepperdine University is a research university affiliated with the Churches of Christ, and is based in California. 

The university's beautiful 830-acre campus overlooks the Pacific Ocean, near Malibu. Courses are primarily taught at the main campus; however there are six graduate campuses in southern California, as well as international campuses in Germany, England, Italy, China, Switzerland and Argentina. 

Beverly Hills is just 24 miles away while Disneyland is 54 miles away. Moreover Los Angeles is about an hour’s drive away, making it ideal for students wanting to explore surrounding areas. 

There are a wide variety of courses on offer for students, which include: business administration, communication, fine arts, humanities and teacher education, international studies and languages, natural science, religion and philosophy and social science.

Pepperdine University is part of the Yellow Ribbon Program for Veterans, which offers support for an unlimited amount of veteran students as well as an unlimited monetary contribution toward each veteran's tuition assistance.

The university upholds the New Testament-based traditions of the Churches of Christ, and so students must attend 14 spiritual events a semester and take at least three religion courses during their time there. On campus, there is a Church of Christ, which students attend as well as a handful of student-led ministries.

Sports teams at Pepperdine University are nicknamed the Waves, and they participate in the West Coast Conference – a conference made up exclusively of religiously affiliated schools. The university sponsors fourteen NCAA Division I athletics teams, such as: baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, tennis, volleyball, swimming and water polo.

Notable alumni of Pepperdine University include prominent scientists, musicians, businessmen and women, engineers, architects, athletes, actors, and politicians. Alumni include actresses Kim Victoria Fields and Tia Dashon Mowry-Hardrict who gained fame for her teen role as Tia Landry in sitcom Sister, Sister, and Bill Weir, an American television journalist and anchor for CNN.
