Located in Tulkarm, Palestine Technical University Kadoorie offers diploma and graduate programmes across a wide breadth of fields. Throughout its history, the university has shifted from an agricultural focus to a scientific, higher education specialism.
Palestine Technical University Kadoorie’s history dates back to 1930 with the Kadoorie Agricultural School, established by the Palestinian Agriculture and Forestry Service in collaboration with the Palestinian Education Bureau. The school was upgraded to college status in 1961, and then granted university status in 2007 and offered bachelor degree programmes in engineering, education, finance, and banking.
Having developed rapidly since 2007, the university now has seven faculties including engineering and technology, applied science, technical studies, business and economics, agricultural sciences and technology, arts and educational sciences, and graduate studies. The university offers programmes at bachelor, diploma and postgraduate level.
To encourage students entrepreneurship skills, there are several centres on campus to develop skills students can carry into their careers, from accounting entrepreneurship to innovation and education technology and fashion design. Students are supported with their entrepreneurial ideas from conception to production and promotion.
The university has agreements with a wide range of higher education institutions across the world from the US to Italy and Turkey. Notable institutions include Columbia University, University of Paris, and the University of Salford.
