Basic information and contact details for Palestine Polytechnic University
Palestine Polytechnic University was founded in 1978 by the University Graduates Union to provide training in education and technology for young Palestinians in the West Bank city of Hebron.
The university has seven colleges – engineering, information technology and computer engineering, applied sciences, applied professions, medicine and health sciences, and humanities. Masters courses were introduced in 2006 and PhDs in 2018.
Classes are delivered in either Arabic or English and the campuses are located in Wadi al Hareich and Abu Ramman, with the University Hospital at Nimra. The language and translation centre offers classes in English, Arabic, Hebrew, French, Islamic culture and contemporary Palestine history. There are plans to introduce German, Spanish and Turkish.
