About the Role

The Research Fellow (Agricultural Sustainability) will contribute to the ARC Research Hub for Smart Fertilisers by designing and conducting experiments to evaluate fertiliser products, developing bio-fertilisers, and quantifying nitrogen loss pathways using advanced techniques. This interdisciplinary role involves collaboration across research themes within the Hub, engaging with industry partners, and sharing findings through field days, workshops, and publications. The position also supports graduate researcher development and requires expertise in soil science, environmental science, and data analysis.

Your responsibilities will include:


	Significantly contribute towards the research effort of the team and to develop your research expertise with an increasing degree of autonomy.
	Under the guidance and support of Senior Academic staff conduct internationally competitive research, resulting in publications in high impact journals.
	Actively participate at Hub and School meetings and with guidance, contribute to planning activities or committee work to support capacity building in the School/discipline.
	Actively participate in research seminars and conferences to disseminate research findings as opportunities arise.


Who We Are Looking For

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary research teams and liaise with diverse stakeholders. Your strong organizational abilities will ensure you meet deadlines and complete projects efficiently.

Additionally, you bring a demonstrated aptitude for research, with a solid publication record and experience presenting to academic, industry and lay audiences.

You will also have:


	A PhD awarded in agriculture, soil science or closely related discipline.
	Demonstrated ability to prepare research reports and manuscripts for publication.
	Strong evidence of ability and desire to build an academic research career.
	Demonstrated ability to engage with relevant professional and industry bodies and stakeholders to foster collaborative partnerships.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. About the position

The Dementia Training Australia (DTA) consortium is an Australian Government funded dementia education program aimed at increasing the capacity of the health and aged care workforce and healthcare students to care for people with dementia. The DTA consortium is led by the University of Wollongong and consists of La Trobe University, Dementia Australia, Queensland University of Technology, the University of Western Australia and University of Tasmania Wicking Dementia Centre.

DTA provides a range of training and education services and activities nationally through collaboration across consortium members. The La Trobe University DTA team is responsible for the delivery of DTA’s Dementia Knowledge to Action Program, General Practitioner (GP) education program, Pain Consultancy Service and Commissioned Training Programs.

This role is based within the DTA La Trobe University Hub and will be responsible for ongoing development of the Dementia Knowledge to Action (DK2A) Program, with a focus on rural and remote settings as well as other improvements or expansions to the program. Additionally, the role may involve contributing to other DTA programs and initiatives across the consortium to support DTA’s overall objectives.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have


	Completion of a Bachelor or equivalent qualification in a health-related field
	Project management experience in coordinating and managing health sector related program and education programs.
	Proficiency in project management systems such as Monday.com
	Completion of a certificate IV in training and assessment (desirable but not essential)
	Contemporary knowledge of dementia and evidence-based care of people living with dementia in a rural and remote setting.
	Ability to liaise effectively with a range of collaborators nationally and/or internationally and with industry partners.
	High level organisational skills: the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, initiate and follow-up actions, all with minimal or no supervision.
	Sound analytical skills with an ability to communicate complex information clearly both orally and in writing.

The School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking a distinguished and innovative Professor of Midwifery to join our esteemed Professoriate team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and passionate professional to support the leadership in the research and development of midwifery practice.
