Kobe College is a private non-sectarian liberal arts college found in Nishinomiya, Hyōgo, Japan. Chartered in 1948, it is the first women's college to achieve university status in West Japan. It was originally founded in 1875 to supply balanced education for women based on Christian principles.
The university offers undergraduate programmes in letters, music and human sciences. There are graduate programmes available in the same disciplines.
The university has developed partnerships with a range of universities in the US, UK, Canada, France, China, the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand. These partnerships facilitate student exchanges.
The university has a buddy system where international students are paired up with domestic students who help them with settling into university life. KC Guides are a group of Japanese students who provide tours for international students and faculty around the campuses.
