About the Role  

As the Lecturer in Primary Science and Mathematics Education, you are responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of courses within UniSA Education Futures undergraduate and postgraduate programs. You will contribute to research and scholarly activity, independently and as a member of the team, resulting in quality publications in both academic refereed and professional journals.

Essential Skills and Experience  


	PhD qualification in Science and/or Mathematics Education in the primary and/or middle years of schooling 
	Demonstrated ability to undertake a range of teaching duties including the preparation of appropriate teaching materials and resources for Science and/or Mathematics Education in the primary and/or middle years of schooling  
	Demonstrated commitment to establishing a program of research that demonstrates growing publication record, and experience in the preparation of research grant applications and success in attracting research income commensurate with opportunity  
	Demonstrated ability in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies (including digital techniques) required for effective curriculum delivery

Description

We are inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in Economics focusing on fields related to Development Economics, Public Economics, and Political Economy. The appointment is for 3 years and will begin September 1, 2025, subject to final budget approval.

The post-doctoral associate will spend half their time on independent research, and half their time on collaborative research with Professor David Blakeslee, Professor Samreen Malik and Professor Veda Narasimhan. The collaborative research will focus on human capital development, climate resilience, social welfare programs and public good service delivery in low-income countries.

We seek a candidate with expertise in using secondary data and/or collecting primary data in South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc.) through surveys/field experiments. This is an excellent position for a development economist interested in working on issues prevalent in South Asian economies.

The position does not require teaching, but it may be possible to get teaching experience for compensation. You would join a group of over 20 post-doctoral fellows and 70 faculty in the Division of Social Science.

About the Role

Flinders University is seeking an Indigenous Community Partnerships and Pathways Coordinator to join their team within the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement.

The Indigenous Community Partnerships and Pathways Coordinator (ICPPC) will work to raise the profile of the University to prospective Indigenous students by facilitating partnerships with Indigenous community organisations, schools and educational programs. The successful candidate will manage a small team of staff, coordinate partnerships with pathways stakeholders, contribute to the development of an Indigenous Recruitment Strategy, and develop an annual calendar of recruitment activities and events that promote access to Flinders University pathways.

The successful candidate will also:


	Act as a key liaison point and subject matter expert regarding pathways into Flinders University including the Indigenous Admission Scheme, scholarship and accommodation.
	Foster sustainable relationships with an extensive network of internal and external stakeholders.
	Evaluate and analyse key statistics on applications and enrolments of students in order to provide input into recruitment strategies and activities.

Description

The Center for Smart Engineering Materials at New York University Abu Dhabi are inviting applications for a fully funded Research Scientist position in the areas of chemistry, materials science and mechanical engineering with interests in smart materials, biomimetic and bioinspired materials, surface science, solid-state chemistry, microscopy, macro/micro/nanodevices, photochemistry, and photophysics.

The Research Scientist will work under the supervision of Dr. Panče Naumov (https://nyuad.nyu.edu/en/research/faculty-labs-and-projects/center-for-smart-engineering-materials.html ) on the design, preparation and physicochemical characterization of new materials and devices. The lab is well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for X-ray diffraction, spectroscopy, microscopy, thermal and mechanical materials characterization, and organic synthesis. Moreover, the post-doctoral associate will have access to the well-equipped core research facilities of NYUAD.

Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics or Mechanical Engineering.

Priority will be given to candidates with a background in the following primary and secondary areas of expertise:


	Organic synthetic chemistry: Design of synthetic pathways to new small molecules and polymers and compete characterization by using NMR and other spectroscopic methods.
	Devices: Design, fabrication and testing of small mechanical devices, experience with working in a clean room, microfluidics, experience with automated sampling and chemical analysis
	Microscopy: Advanced methods of atomic force microscopy in solid and liquid state, scanning electron microscopy in non-atmospheric conditions, TEM of organic materials
