Established in 1834, Kherson State Maritime Academy is located in the urban city of Kherson, in the south of Ukraine. It’s a leading shipbuilding academy and it offers sea and maritime related courses to students.
At Kherson State Maritime Academy, students can gain both undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees within a wide variety of faculties and institutes, including: maritime navigation, marine engineering and ship energy.
The training is conducted in both Ukrainian and English, with separate English-speaking groups.
The campus consists of 19 laboratories, 16 simulators and 21 classrooms. Buildings of note include the navigation bridge integrated simulator, engine room integrated simulator, survival and fire fighting centre, mooring station, medical care on board ship laboratory and high voltage equipment laboratory.
These and many other facilities ensure the highest standard of training possible for cadets of Kherson State Maritime Academy.
KSMA offers dormitory living for its cadets. There’s a library, reading room, student council, music room, storage room for personal items, a canteen, and a grocery.
Sports on offer include volleyball, athletics, basketball, football table tennis and chess.
KSMA welcomes international students to its campus each year. The Academy has also established links with partner universities across the world including: Karagandy State University (Kazakhstan), Lithuanian Maritime Academy (Lithuania) and Maritime University of Constanţa (Romania).
