Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University’s history dates back to 1973 when the Thai government established a Teacher’s College in Kamphaeng Phet. In 1975 the college became part of the Ministry of Education’s Higher Education system and in 1992 it was renamed Rajabhat Institute. Some 12 years later, the institute was granted full university status and became Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University.
As its name suggests, the university is located in Kamphaeng Phet Province, northern Thailand.
There are five faculties within the university: humanities and social sciences, industrial technology, education, science and technology, and management. Each faculty offers students a range of undergraduate degree programmes to choose from.
The KPRU Graduate School provides postgraduate programmes. There are two degree programmes offered at master’s level: master of public administration programme in local government and master of education programme in educational administration. There are also two doctoral degree programmes available: doctor of philosophy programme in educational administration and doctor of philosophy programme in administration and development strategy.
