About the Role

The Student Placement Officer, internally referred to as the Work Integrated Learning Support Officer is responsible for providing a range of support services for the College’s Work Integrated (WIL) programs. You will work closely with the WIL Team Leader to leverage opportunities internally and externally and assist with administration, matching students to placements and ensuring that students meet the requirements for preplacement/WIL experience and contribute to enhancing positive graduate outcomes.

You will be required to provide timely advice to various stakeholders and students to support WIL supervision and exercise sound judgement when dealing with sensitive or urgent issues relating to student placements.

As the successful candidate you will be accountable for:


	Liaising with placement providers and undertaking any administration required for placements, including the preparation of contracts, and maintaining quality student data.
	Processing and maintaining accurate data of student placements experience and supporting academic placement coordinators.
	Maintaining data records in relevant systems and preparing reports and correspondence as requested.
	Assisting with the organisation and sharing of WIL information via online and in-person methods to students, industry and academics.


About You

The key to your success will be your well-developed organisation skills as you demonstrate your ability to prioritise operational situations and meet urgent deadlines. The Work Integrated Learning Support Officer will exercise initiative and problem-solving skills to interpret and advise on systems, policies and procedures for the continual improvement of WIL support services.

You will have excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, allowing you to work collaboratively with a range of university stakeholders and external organisations.

To be successful you will also demonstrate:


	Relevant administrative experience and/or education and training.
	Experience in maintaining positive relationships, with internal and external stakeholders.
	Effective use of systems and databases including the ability to extract, manipulate and analyse data.
	Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise initiative and sound judgment to solve problems and make decisions.

Description

The Center for Behavioral Institutional Design (C-BID), New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a research scientist/ senior research scientist to support the center in conducting applied research in behavioral social science, undertaken in collaboration with local public and private partners. The research scientist/ senior research scientist will contribute to advancing the design of scientifically informed institutions and policies that have local impact, and improve economic outcomes and welfare.

The ideal candidate will be a well-trained, self-motivated, hard-working, professional, equally capable of working alone and as part of a team, and hold a PhD in Economics with at least 5 years’ experience in their field along with extensive research and publication in well-known journals and conference paper. The position requires expertise in experimental, empirical, and/or theoretical methods. Candidates with research experience in the private or public sector are also encouraged to apply. Excellent communication skills in English, the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and scientific creativity are essential.

Successful applicants are expected to work in the behavioral policy cluster of the center to design policy and institutions in close collaboration with the C-BID team (Nikos Nikiforakis, John Wooders, Olivier Bochet, and Ernesto Reuben) and the center's numerous partners.

The position provides a salary higher than internationally competitive rates for research scientist positions, in addition to substantial benefits (generous housing, transportation and travel allowances, educational subsidies for children), together with full health insurance and retirement contributions. The UAE does not levy income tax.

About the Role

Flinders University is seeking an Indigenous Community Partnerships and Pathways Coordinator to join their team within the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement.

The Indigenous Community Partnerships and Pathways Coordinator (ICPPC) will work to raise the profile of the University to prospective Indigenous students by facilitating partnerships with Indigenous community organisations, schools and educational programs. The successful candidate will manage a small team of staff, coordinate partnerships with pathways stakeholders, contribute to the development of an Indigenous Recruitment Strategy, and develop an annual calendar of recruitment activities and events that promote access to Flinders University pathways.

The successful candidate will also:


	Act as a key liaison point and subject matter expert regarding pathways into Flinders University including the Indigenous Admission Scheme, scholarship and accommodation.
	Foster sustainable relationships with an extensive network of internal and external stakeholders.
	Evaluate and analyse key statistics on applications and enrolments of students in order to provide input into recruitment strategies and activities.

About You

The Lecturer is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School, aligned with the Pharmaceutical Sciences discipline. More specifically, you are responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate and Honours degree programs and for maintaining and advancing your scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities. You will also be expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. 	Demonstrated ability to prepare, deliver and assess Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences courses
	Demonstrated knowledge of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences, with specialist knowledge in pharmacological principles and therapeutic pharmacology
	Ability to undertake course coordination role
	Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning
	Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas
	Ability to build productive networks with colleagues and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
	Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with students, staff and industry, together with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration

Description

The Cyber Security & Privacy lab (CSP-laboratory) of Dr. Christina Pöpper seeks to recruit a post-doctoral or research associate to work on cyber security and privacy research of existing and emerging networks and communication systems, with a possible starting date in January 2025 (or later). The group’s research builds upon the areas of system, network, information, and computer security. Candidates need to be skilled and comfortable with experimental work in cyber security. Although a postdoctoral/research associate candidate will be preferred, this position may also be filled by a research assistant in well justified cases.

The CSP-laboratory conducts cutting-edge research in communication, network, cyber, and system security and privacy, in particular on


	Security and privacy in mobile telephony networks (5G, 6G, ORAN), satellite-based and airborne communication, or other wireless systems or networks
	AI, LLM and ML security, privacy and trustworthiness
	 Anonymous or privacy-preserving communication


The ideal candidate is self-motivated and can work independently, has a passion for security and privacy topics in different application contexts, and is willing to learn new technologies. The candidate should have a PhD or MSc in Computer Science or a closely related field (BSc holders will be considered in justified cases). Relevant background and skills include:


	Experimental experience with software radios, 5G user equipment, VPNs, Tor, or other hard- and software relevant to the described systems an networks
	Up-to-date software development and machine learning skills, incl. work with ML libraries, multimodal AI models, etc.
	Exposure to security and privacy research work
	Excellent written and verbal communication skills
	Track record of research with publications in top-tier conferences


The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join ongoing international collaborations as well as collaborations within the Center for Cyber Security at New York University Abu Dhabi.

Applicants for the postdoctoral position must have a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security or closely related fields. Applicants for the research associate position must have a MSc or BSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security or closely related field. Excellent experimental skills are required.
