Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics was established in 1923. It is one of six business schools affiliated to China’s Ministry of Finance. Its current name, adopted in 1996, is its eighth since its foundation as the Jiangxi Provincial School of Commerce.
It is located on four campuses in Nanchang.
It has 21 schools including business administration, accounting, finance, statistics, law and art among others. There are also 23 research centres. A number of courses, including some at masters level, are taught in English.
Its International School was established in 2002 and in 2010 it was the first Chinese university to join the International Student Exchange Programme. International students have their own residence – an apartment block with 248 ensuite rooms.
The university has more than 100 international partners including Southampton University and is a partner in the Confucius Institute at Coventry University.
