The Islamic Azad University’s Mashhad Branch is located in Mashhad City, the capital of Khorassan E Razavi, Iran’s largest province. The Masshad Branch of the Islamic Azad University was established in 1982 and is one of the main and earliest branches of Islamic Azad University. The university has over 350 other branches around Iran and five overseas.
The university offers approximately 124 different subjects across its nine faculties: basic sciences, art, humanities, engineering, linguistics, sport, law, agriculture and medicine from the undergraduate to PhD level.
Across these faculties, students have the opportunity to study a range of degree programmes including medical engineering, statistics, geology, midwifery, French and architecture among others. Graduates from Islamic Azad University go on to pursue postdoctoral research at universities in Europe, the US, Canada, Australia and other countries across the world.
Alongside their studies, students at Islamic Azad University can participate in a range of activities and competitions, including swimming, canoeing, taekwondo and chess.
