The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE) is a private university based in Hyderabad, India.
Founded in 2008, today the institution is split across three main departments: the ICFAI Business School, which hosts its international MBA programme; the faculty of science and technology; and the ICFAI law school. Each offers a selection of degree courses, from diploma level to PHD.
IFHE’s main campus is based just outside of Hyderabad city within a green, suburban area of 91 acres. All teaching, research and student facilities are based here on site. Student accommodation is available to a capacity of 3,200, with separate male and female blocks.
On-site facilities include a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports fields and games spaces, including badminton and squash courts, tennis, football, cricket and basketball. A swimming pool and gym are also available for student and faculty use.
IFHE prides itself on its modern, multi-sensory classrooms and learning spaces and classrooms, including a number of computer suites and technical hubs. The university library is open for 15 hours each day and is home to several thousand books, journals and films, as well as access to online academic databases.
Teaching programmes have a strong focus on business and employability, and students are provided with individual careers counselling as well as several workshops, internships and industry talks through the academic year.
Hyderabad city centre is roughly 30km from IFHE university campus – around a one hour drive away. Many students commute from the city, however, and a regular university-run transport system is available to staff and students for a small fee.
