The Infectious Disease and Epidemiology Research group in the School of Clinical and Experimental Sciences wish to appoint two Research Facilitators to help support the technical aspects of research activities and to assist with the day to day running of research studies undertaken by the group. The research group is based within the Faculty of Medicine at Southampton General Hospital.

Our group is undertaking a number of projects looking at the epidemiology of respiratory pathogens. Applications are invited from those with relevant experience of laboratory based microbiology and experience of research governance. Experience of bacterial identification is desirable. These posts are full-time but consideration will be given to those who wish to work part-time. Applicants must be available to work with some flexibility.

Description

The Center for Smart Engineering Materials at New York University Abu Dhabi are inviting applications for a fully funded Research Scientist position in the areas of chemistry, materials science and mechanical engineering with interests in smart materials, biomimetic and bioinspired materials, surface science, solid-state chemistry, microscopy, macro/micro/nanodevices, photochemistry, and photophysics.

The Research Scientist will work under the supervision of Dr. Panče Naumov (https://nyuad.nyu.edu/en/research/faculty-labs-and-projects/center-for-smart-engineering-materials.html ) on the design, preparation and physicochemical characterization of new materials and devices. The lab is well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for X-ray diffraction, spectroscopy, microscopy, thermal and mechanical materials characterization, and organic synthesis. Moreover, the post-doctoral associate will have access to the well-equipped core research facilities of NYUAD.

Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics or Mechanical Engineering.

Priority will be given to candidates with a background in the following primary and secondary areas of expertise:


	Organic synthetic chemistry: Design of synthetic pathways to new small molecules and polymers and compete characterization by using NMR and other spectroscopic methods.
	Devices: Design, fabrication and testing of small mechanical devices, experience with working in a clean room, microfluidics, experience with automated sampling and chemical analysis
	Microscopy: Advanced methods of atomic force microscopy in solid and liquid state, scanning electron microscopy in non-atmospheric conditions, TEM of organic materials

About the Role

Flinders University is seeking an Indigenous Community Partnerships and Pathways Coordinator to join their team within the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement.

The Indigenous Community Partnerships and Pathways Coordinator (ICPPC) will work to raise the profile of the University to prospective Indigenous students by facilitating partnerships with Indigenous community organisations, schools and educational programs. The successful candidate will manage a small team of staff, coordinate partnerships with pathways stakeholders, contribute to the development of an Indigenous Recruitment Strategy, and develop an annual calendar of recruitment activities and events that promote access to Flinders University pathways.

The successful candidate will also:


	Act as a key liaison point and subject matter expert regarding pathways into Flinders University including the Indigenous Admission Scheme, scholarship and accommodation.
	Foster sustainable relationships with an extensive network of internal and external stakeholders.
	Evaluate and analyse key statistics on applications and enrolments of students in order to provide input into recruitment strategies and activities.

Description

The Materials NMR laboratory in the Division/ Center of science, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a research assistant/ research associate/ postdoctoral associate to work on the solid-state NMR with focus on the materials chemistry.

The successful applicant will drive a fascinating project on DNP solid-state NMR on energy related materials.  Our recent work can be found here (10.1039/D3SC05514K).

The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students.

Applicants must have a PhD in solid-state NMR.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, and scientific creativity are essential. Good computer programming skills and working knowledge of MATLAB are preferred.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge resources at core technology platform at NYU AD in a collaborative research environment. The NMR center at NYU Abu Dhabi has an active NMR research community with a DNP SSNMR at 600 MHz (spinning frequency range from 10 kHz to 100 kHz), 500 MHz solution NMR spectrometer and X-band EPR instrument. Moreover, the postdoc will have access to the well-equipped core research facilities of NYUAD.

About the Role

Working on site in Adelaide, South Australia, this full-time role will work within UniSA Online to support the development and delivery of curriculum for the online Bachelor of Psychology program.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with expertise and passion in teaching psychology, which will include contributing to the design, development and teaching of engaging course curricula and materials for the program. The role will include implementing teaching approaches that maximise the student experience and learning outcomes and will also contribute to the recruitment and development of online tutoring staff within UniSA Online.

We are currently recruiting for an Online Lecturer to teach first, second and third-year courses into the Bachelor of Psychology degree program. We are looking for candidates to have expertise in teaching statistics and research methodologies as well as in a range of discipline specific courses in psychology. In addition, candidates will have experiences in managing diverse student cohorts along with competing demands.    

The Bachelor of Psychology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) and as a result, applicants must fulfil APAC teaching requirements.

Critical to the success of the role will be establishing strong partnerships with stakeholders across the University to ensure that UniSA Online identifies and responds to strategic opportunities, and effectively leading and mentoring academic staff within the teaching team.
