About the Role

The Student Wellbeing Counsellor reports to the Director Wellbeing & Student Experience and works closely with the Wellbeing, Academic Support and Student Experience teams to provide a high level of support and an enhanced student experience for international Pathway students. The team offers an integrated institutional approach to ensure students are "RMIT Ready".

The Student Counsellor will provide direct counselling support and early intervention services to individual students identified as at-risk and/or experiencing or demonstrating mental health issues, consult with RMIT UP educators and professional staff to understand their concerns around individual student's wellbeing, and group wellbeing, as appropriate, and participate in clinical supervision, case review meetings, client outcome evaluations and other quality assurance processes. Please refer to the PD for more organisational responsibilities, accountabilities and hours of work.

About You

To be successful in this position you will have:


	A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline and post graduate qualifications in Counselling, Psychotherapy or Psychology
	Prior work experience in an educational setting supporting international students and demonstrated experience in supporting the mental health concerns of diverse cohorts of international students.
	Experience in assessing, conceptualizing, analysing and presenting on a range of mental health presentations and providing effective, evidence-based counselling including writing up case notes.
	Growing competency in short-term counselling approaches, including strengths-based, solution-focused and trauma informed frameworks.
	Knowledge of supporting and referring people with various mental health presentations including depression, anxiety, trauma, conflict, sexuality issues, domestic violence and serious mental illnesses.
	Commitment to undertake professional development and clinical supervision to inform and influences your work with clients.
	Clear understanding of legislative requirements regarding privacy of health information and a commitment to maintaining the security and integrity of confidential information and records
	Demonstrated ability to generate ideas and contribute to initiatives that address student wellbeing and engagement both on campus and across various social media platforms
	Strong administrative, time management and organisational skills and the ability to work cooperatively, productively and flexibly in a team environment.
	Highly developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people.
	Current Working with Children Check
	Mental First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)

Epsom College is seeking to appoint a Director of People and Culture. As a key member of the College’s Operational Leadership Team, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), they will be responsible for combining the operational and strategic oversight of the College’s HR function, to ensure a positive and engaging workplace culture is in place and maintained. It is an exciting time at the College with the recent commencement of the 16th Head of Epsom College and he and the COO are now in a position to set and deliver a new and ambitious strategy for the College, building on its success and ensuring a modern operating and learning environment.

The Director of People and Culture will lead on all HR Matters and manage the HR function to ensure the delivery of an effective HR service for the College, with focus including

Developing and implementing a new People, Culture and Organisational Development Strategy which is aligned to the overall College Strategy Modernising HR systems, data management and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Working with academic colleagues and the COO to ensure teaching and operational staff have a development programme that supports them in their career at Epsom. You will possess a dynamic and strategic approach, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders. The successful candidate will be empathetic and approachable, as well as showing a genuine interest in employee well-being. About the opportunity

The Human Resources team is looking for a self-driven HR Consultant to join their high performing team. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Computer Science at the School of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Electronics. We expect the post holders to work collaboratively with other team members to lead and contribute to the academic, scholarly and professional activities through the delivery and development of taught modules and research initiatives.

We seek strong candidates whose research aligns with one or more of these themes and applicants who can contribute to expanding our expertise into other areas. Eligible candidates should have an excellent track record or demonstrable potential for innovative research and effective teaching.

What you will be doing:

We expect the post holders to make a significant contribution to research and scholarship, to publish and communicate your work at research meetings and conferences and to attract funding to support and develop these activities.

The post holders should also have a strong commitment to the development of teaching and the curriculum in the above areas. The post holders will be expected to enjoy the challenge of working in a fast paced and multidisciplinary teaching environment and be capable of carrying out high quality work with a diverse range of students.

Qualifications/ experience:
Qualifications 


	Honours degree (or equivalent in a relevant subject area OR honours degree in an unrelated subject with a higher degree and/or professional qualification in an appropriate area


Experience


	Evidence of research expertise in Computer Science (particularly, Artificial intelligence, Cyber Security, Computer Networks, and Computational Modelling) with a record of recent publications, ideally in 3* and/or 4* peer reviewed and refereed academic journals
	Evidence of research expertise with a record of recent publications including conference papers, refereed publications and or book chapters or equivalent professional measures of esteem 
	Evidence of effective research project supervision at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level

	Assisting with clear and effective communications, such as reports, presentations and updates for key stakeholders.
	Coordinating and servicing meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes and following up on actions.
	Providing administrative support for projects, including monitoring of project plans and documentation, tracking deadlines and conducting background research.


This role will provide you with hands-on experience and exposure to project management tools and methods, offering a solid foundation for your career.
