Forman Christian College

Forman Christian College (FCCU) is a prestigious institution in Pakistan, with a history dating back to 1864.

Academically, FCCU is structured into various faculties and schools. The school of management, the faculty of computer and mathematical sciences, the faculty of education offers education, the faculty of humanities, the faculty of natural sciences, and the faculty of social sciences. The Center for Public Policy and Governance is dedicated to policy research and governance studies, addressing contemporary societal challenges.

These faculties collectively offer more than 20 majors in the Baccalaureate (Hons) programme and over 20 postgraduate programmes. With over 50 per cent of its faculty holding PhDs, FCCU maintains a high standard of education and research.

Beyond academics, FCCU provides a vibrant campus life. Residential Life at the university offers secure housing for over 1,860 students, including accommodations for female students within the campus, promoting a sense of responsibility and inclusivity among students, irrespective of their backgrounds. FCCU boasts 36 active student societies, allowing students to take on leadership roles and contribute to the community. These societies are entirely student-run, enhancing leadership and management skills.

The Student Advising Center assists students throughout their academic journey, resolving issues that may hinder timely graduation, providing course guidance, and offering support for non-academic concerns. Recognising the importance of extracurricular activities, FCCU's Sports Board organises various games and intramural sports programmes, contributing to students' holistic development.

The Financial Aid Office supports students from less privileged backgrounds through direct aid and work-study programmes, ensuring financial constraints do not hinder their education. The Career Services Office offers comprehensive guidance and counselling, aiding students in finding jobs and internships and organising career-oriented activities. The International Education Office assists students in exploring opportunities in foreign universities, including admission, scholarships, and semester exchanges.

Ewing Memorial Library and Other Services at FCCU encourage intellectual exploration through a well-equipped library with over 100,000 volumes and state-of-the-art online and electronic reference services.
