The EIA University, formerly known as the School of Engineering of Antioquia, is a university in Colombia. It was founded in 1978 by a group of 27 engineers – mostly graduates of the old School of Mines – with the purpose to educate and train engineers of the future.

Its main mission is to develop and provide students with the necessary skills to promote technological, economic, cultural and social development of the nation.

Over the years, the EIA University has developed and now consists of a number of different schools. Undergraduate degrees consist of: physical, environmental engineering, economy, and medicine. While students can go on to specialise further in subjects like: green infrastructure, corporate finance and artificial intelligence.

The campus is large and has a large and modern library, an auditorium, modern laboratories and spaces for well-being.

There’s also student dormitories, for students to live on campus as well as canteens, a gymnasium, shops and an International Student Club where cultural activities take place.

The EIA University also has partnerships with other universities worldwide offering students the chance to spend a year studying abroad. It has also established scientific relationships and cultural exchange with global universities to boost research opportunities.

The university provides various scholarships aided by the university and by the government.
