The Ecole De Psychologues Praticiens is a higher education institute affiliated with the Catholic Institute of Paris. Founded in 1951, the school has campuses in Paris and Lyon.
The schools training includes: prep psy, post-bac common core, specialties in clinical science and human resources, as well as internships and professional integration. The prep psy is a year-long course where students undertake the necessary training to gain the title of psychologist. This course is preparation for the Ecole De Psychologues Praticiens entrance exam.
The post-bac common core is a three-year course to prepare students for their career as a practicing psychologist. In their third year, they undertake internships and practical work. In their fourth year, students specialise in either clinical or human resources psychology, and in their fifth year they specialise further in these disciplines. The fifth year is their last year of training.
The Paris campus is located steps away from the Montparnasse Tower, while the Lyon campus is just feet away from the Rhône and the Tete d’Or park.
Student life on campus is bustling, with over 30 student associations, such as film and documentary debates, artistic practices and sport. There are festive events, sports, cultural practices such as concerts, Junior Enterprise, and fundraising and volunteering opportunities.
The Ecole De Psychologues Praticienss also has an international student exchange programme, giving students the opportunity to learn or develop a foreign language, discover international approaches to psychology, and meet people from different cultures. The schools international offerings include studies, internships, jobs, language assistant stays, and associative projects. The school has partnerships with over 20 universities, where fourth or fifth year students can choose to study abroad for a semester. Internship opportunities have included clinical specialty establishments in Canada, multifamily psychoanalysis in Argentina, and hospital services in Vietnam.
